I spent a decade building a real estate portfolio and a group of businesses on the side, until the side became the whole thing. Now I invest, operate, and teach high earners how to turn income into ownership without betting the house to start.

About

Investor first, operator second, teacher third.

I started buying real estate because I did not want to spend my best years asking permission to take a Tuesday off. That was more than ten years ago. Since then I have flipped houses, built a portfolio of long-term rentals, structured a commercial office acquisition with almost nothing down, and bought, renovated, and eventually sold a restaurant. Somewhere in the middle I earned my Florida broker's license and opened a brokerage.

Alongside the properties I have been building businesses. I run a small group of operating brands, and I have started, bought, fixed, and closed enough of them to have opinions worth listening to. The failures taught me more than the wins, and I talk about both, which is not always the fashionable choice.

Before any of this paid the bills, I spent years inside large financial institutions doing intelligence and analysis work, and finished with an executive MBA from the University of Florida. I do not do that work any more, but it left me with a way of thinking I still use on every deal: assume your information is incomplete, decide anyway, and be honest about what would prove you wrong. It is why I underwrite the way I do.

Today the work is investing, operating, and teaching. Driven Life Academy is the coaching side, The Driven Entrepreneur is the podcast, and DLAnalyzer is software I built because I was tired of underwriting deals in spreadsheets. I am not a full-time educator. I am an operator who happens to teach, and I think that is the only kind worth learning from.

The podcast

The Driven Entrepreneur

For people who refuse to settle for the ordinary path.

Every episode is a real conversation with a founder, investor, or builder about how the thing actually got built. Not the polished version, the real one.

We cover the whole arc: the first idea, the part where it nearly died, scaling, acquisitions, real estate, and designing a life around ownership instead of employment. It is made for high performers who already suspect the traditional career path is not the ceiling.

Want to be on the show?

I am looking for founders, investors, and operators with a real story and a willingness to tell the unflattering parts of it. You do not need a big audience. You need to have actually built something.

Speaking

Book me for your stage, panel, or show.

I speak about the things I actually do: buying real estate, building and running businesses, and making decisions when the numbers are not all in yet. Audiences get frameworks and specifics they can use, not a motivational close.

Topics

Building Net Worth Without Quitting Your Job

Most high earners are told to either grind the career or blow it up and go build something. There is a third path, and it is the one that actually works: use the income the job produces to buy assets that do not need you present.

Basis: Built a real estate portfolio and a group of businesses while still holding a demanding full-time career

Real Estate Investing, Honestly

What it actually takes to find, underwrite, finance, and close your first deal, and what the seminar circuit leaves out. Covers flips, long-term holds, and commercial, including the deals that did not work and what they cost.

Basis: A decade of flips, rentals, and commercial acquisitions, plus a Florida broker's license and an active brokerage

Building a Holding Company

Acquiring and operating small businesses as a founder rather than a fund, with patient capital and no exit timeline. What to look for, how to structure it, and the honest version of what it costs you.

Basis: Founded and runs a self-funded holding company across real estate and operating brands

Intelligence-Led Decision Making

Professional analysts have a method for making high-stakes calls on incomplete information, and it transfers directly to investment and business decisions. Assume the picture is partial, decide anyway, and name in advance what would prove you wrong.

Basis: Taught the method at two universities, and uses it on every deal he underwrites
